ALIQUID
Sabrina Ratté
We are excited to announce the presentation of „Aliquid“ by Sabrina Ratté, as part of our current exhibition HYPERTENSION that is on view until October 24 @ PYLON-Lab.
Sabrina Ratté works as a multi-media artist with a string focus on 3D animation. Her artistic practice combines analog technologies with photography and three dimensional computer animation, to investigate the influence of both digital and physical spaces on the human perception. Ratté creates digital objects and landscapes that convey ideas of posthuman environments in their own distinct vision, visualizing the entanglement of organic and synthetic material in our highly digitalized perception of the world.
The exhibition is a cooperation with @hellerau_ /hybrid and is kindly supported by Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen and Landeshauptstadt Dresden – Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz.
ALIQUID is a single channel video where the electronic signal is manipulated digitally to materialize into synthetic flesh. Slowly landing onto a glass architecture, this undefined substance is torn apart by sharp edges and eventually disintegrates into particules that spread into the atmosphere.
